Reliance Jio's next big product might be a Jio-branded laptop with 4G support. The company is reportedly working on a MacBook Air clone with 4G SIM card slot placed on the left side. PhoneRadar reports that the laptop will be manufactured by Foxconn.

Reliance already sells smartphones under its LYF brand, which are basically rebranded Chinese smartphones. The company also sells Jio-branded Mi-Fi devices called JioFi and is also planning to launch DTH services. Earlier reports indicated that Jio's next big announcement could be 4G feature phones priced under Rs 1,500. The company is also working on rolling out gigabit wired broadband service in India under its FTTH service.

Jio's laptop is said to sport a 13.3-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The notebook is reportedly being tested with Windows OS but there are chances of final product being launched with Chrome OS instead. With Jio laptop, the focus will again be on pushing Jio suite of services. Jio-branded apps are currently available only for Android and iOS and ChromeOS' native support for Android apps will help Jio to push its apps on large screen device.

The laptop is expected to be powered by a quad-core Intel Pentium processor coupled with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage. The notebook will offer HD camera for video calls and chiclet style keyboard. The laptop will also offer other connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 3.0 ports, micro HDMI port and microSD card slot. There is no word on pricing but Jio might price the device aggressively to capture a larger market share.
